Doch durch einen Hinterhalt des &#8222;wahren Weges&#8220; wird die Hephaistos in einen Konflikt des neuen, demokratischen Cardassias mit paramilit\u00e4rischen Oppositionellen hineingezogen.<br \/>\nNeben den ersten Anzeichen eines herannahenden B\u00fcrgerkrieges im cardassianischen Reich, geben die Borg im angrenzenden Orrelius-Sektorblock zus\u00e4tzlichen Grund zur Besorgnis. Er steht f\u00fcr das Feuer und die Schmiedekunst. Er kam klein, h\u00e4sslich und schreiend auf die Welt und gab seiner Mutter somit den Grund daf\u00fcr, ihn aus dem Olymp zu schleudern. Nahe der Insel Lemnos kam er auf der Erde auf und war ab diesem Augenblick lahm. Gerettet und aufgezogen wurde er von den beiden Meernymphen Thetis und Eurynome, die ihn fanden.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Im Erwachsenenalter schmiedete er einen goldenen Thron f\u00fcr seine Mutter, welcher sie, sobald sie sich daraufsetzte, an eben diesen fesselte.
